Light Camping Kit
This is an example of a "light camping" load, i.e. a camping load packed for speed of travel and not comfort, though compared to hitting the woods primitive style (sans equipment or with only a knife), this is still high living.
From the left, a Camelback water bladder, a lightweight day/weekend backpack, (from top) a rolled up thermarest sleeping pad (the lightweight 3/4 model), the versatile tarp (with nylon cord already attached to each grommet) and stakes, a poncho (can be a ground cloth or cover, my boonie hat, and my hiking bag (in a fanny pack) - see below.
The above items, with food, would be a good light load for an overnight or weekend trip.
