The Action Lifestyle is about choices. It is about choosing to go your own way when the world tells you otherwise. Real men of action get shit taken care of. There is no whining in the action lifestyle.
Own guns. The US Constitution was written to make sure we never gave our rights over to a tyrant, whether it was King George of England or someone closer to home. Learn how to safely use a gun and if you have kids, teach them as well. A person with a rifle is a citizen, take away the gun and they are a subject.
Play paintball. For us, paintball is the jazz. It gives us enough stress relief to not get bothered by something as stupid as getting cut off on the road. Team sports help you to be a team player. Life is easier if you look at it as a team effort.
Go hunting. Learn that food doesn't just come from the counter of the local grocery store. Get out in the woods and make your own food. The only reason that you are even able to sit in McDonalds and have a McCrappy is because your ancestors were good enough hunters to make sure they got their asses through their respective Ice Age.
Watch The Seven Samurai. Those guys had their priorities in order.
Learn some skills. Whether it is becoming a medic, learning to scuba dive, or how to throw a knife, part of being in the Action Lifestyle means being able to make it happen. Just remember - James Bond never climbed into the cockpit of some Com-bloc tank or airplane and said, "Well, Hell . . . what do I do now?"
Be a man. Stand up for something - anything. The next time some minimum wage monkey tries to tell you that the service fee you pay every month isn't enough to warrant good service, take a stand and tell them what you think. Don't be rude, but don't go home and tell yourself "I should have this" or "only if I did that." Demand to get what you pay for. Stand up when the little guy gets pushed around.
And above all, always think - what would Jack Burton do at a time like this?
